Fruitport High School Design Presentation

Since early January 2017, Fruitport High School Staff members and the bond Steering Committee have been working with architects from Tower Pinkster to design the high school project per the passage of the November 8, 2016, bond issue.  The current design simply indicates the layout of the walls.  On Monday, April 17, 2017, the Board of Education approved this design.

Work continues on the further development of the high school project plans which will become bid documents in November 2017.  This work includes design work that deals with electrical and mechanical systems, cabinetry, finishes, etc.  In September the architect will work with staff in making furniture and equipment decisions.  As a reminder, construction on this project begins the spring of 2018, occupancy of new construction begins during the 2019/20 school year with project completion projected for the 2020/21 school year.

The content of the “FHS Design Presentation” shows the wall location that the Board approved and the current thinking on many other design elements.  No final decisions have been made beyond wall location.
