Advanced PE

Course Description:
In this class, Students will depart from the traditional sports and skill development and focus on Personal physical fitness. Students will be performing a variety of fitness activities with a specific focus on building strength, speed, and agility. Mondays the focus will be lower body, Tuesdays upper body, Wednesdays core, Thursdays total body and sprints. Fridays will be a fitness game used to build team leadership and cooperation skills.

Course Description:
Students in PE will be introduced to various sports such as:

  • Basketball
  • Flag Football
  •  LaCrosse
  • Badminton
  • Volleyball
  • Pickleball

Students will begin each day with warm-up activities such as sit-ups, push-ups, and sprints. We will then progress into skill development for each sport and finish each unit with a tournament.  

Physical Education II

One Semester

Course Description:
This course will build off of PE 1 and dive deeper into physical fitness with a fitness test call Fitnessgram. Students will be tested on their fitness level 3 times during the semester and record their results on the computer. Students will perform fitness exercises to help improve their scores.

Students will also improve their skills in sports such as:

  • Ultimate Frisbee
