Family Resource Center

Family Resource Centers are placed within Muskegon County schools to coordinate community-based services and provide readily accessible partnerships which address needs and goals shared by the family, community, school, and other agencies.    

The Fruitport Family Resource Center is located in the Fruitport Middle School and is the central location to access services within your community;  Department of Human Services, Community Mental Health, food pantries, Love Inc., to name a few.  We are here to provide improved access to community agencies, support families in need and increase family focused services.  We are also working with the school offering supports to families whose child is struggling with poor attendance and/or failing grades.

Within the Fruitport Family Resource Center we have a kiosk for people to apply for benefits online, such as cash, food, Medicaid, and child care.  We also have a pantry stocked with diapers, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, coats, and clothing.
