Strategic Action Planning Process and Focus Areas (2023 - 2028)

The strategic action planning process sets a direction for the District that is built around the collective beliefs of the school community, while the various needs of students are kept as the District's top priority.  Priority areas and action steps have been formulated based upon feedback collected to enable a strong partnership between staff, parents, students, and stakeholders as outlined below:

The Board of Education and the District’s administration are pleased to announce that they will begin the process of creating a strategic action plan to prioritize the goals and strategies that will be implemented in Fruitport Community Schools over the next five (5) years.

The Board and District have chosen to embark on this planning process in an effort to set a direction for the District that is built upon the collective beliefs of the school community and its stakeholders, with the various needs of students, staff, and the community as our top priorities.

Stakeholder participation is essential to this process being effective. Goals based on input and feedback will be formulated to build upon our strong partnership between staff, parents, students, and stakeholders. The process is meant to be collaborative with the system identifying goals and strategies that truly meet the needs of our students and stakeholders.

The Board and District endeavor to build upon our success, as we seek continuous growth and improvement, in support of all learners and stakeholders, and for the betterment of the community that we serve.  The Board and District are excited to begin this strategic action planning process in partnership with our schools and community.  Our strategic plan will be a commitment to continuous improvement.  We will communicate and celebrate our growth, improvement, and progress as we seek to ensure that all students are prepared for a lifetime of learning.

The finalized District Strategic Action Plan will launch at the July 2023 Board of Education meeting and will be a five (5) year plan that covers July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2028. The finalized plan will be subject to modification at any point in time, as directed by the Board of Education.
