Welcome to the Fruitport Community Schools Early Childhood Center, where your child's journey of growth and discovery begins! We are thrilled to offer a warm, safe, and nurturing environment designed to help our youngest learners thrive.
Our Programs
We provide a variety of pathways to support your family’s needs and your child’s development:
- Early Childhood Care: Loving care for little ones ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
- Preschool Opportunities: Engaging learning environments through Child’s World Tuition Preschool, Head Start, and the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP).
- School-Aged Support: Reliable Before & After School Care (SAC) for elementary students and our high-energy Summer Fun Camp.

What is it:
Childcare for young children that offers well-planned environments that support children's health and safety while fostering learning through play. The staff is comprised of caring and nurturing people whose goal is your child's well-being and happiness.
Qualifications:
Ages 6 weeks through 5 years old
Preschool-aged children must be potty-trained.

ECC Schedule Form
Location:
Early Childhood Center inside the Fruitport Middle School.
Session Times:
Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 5:45 pm. Care is also available on snow days, during school breaks, and during the summer.
Transportation:
Transportation is not provided.

Preschool
If you are pregnant or have children ages 0–5, you’re in the right place! We’re here to help you find the best program for your family. Submit an interest form and our team will guide you through your options and next steps.

What is it:
Before and after-school childcare
Qualifications:
Any elementary child enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th grade

Beach Elementary & Edgewood Elementary
Session Times:
School days, including Delayed Start Wednesday
AM: 6:30-8:30, PM: 3:30-5:45
Transportation:
A shuttle bus is available for Shettler students to go to Beach Elementary for the SAC program.

Summer Fun Camp
What is it:
Summer childcare program offering two weekly field trips, weekly STEM & literacy activities, and arts & crafts. All are supervised by experienced and caring staff. We help bridge the summer break learning gap.

SFC Handbook
Qualifications:
Elementary children currently attending kindergarten through 5th grade. First opportunities go to children enrolled in the SAC program.

June 16 through August 22. Closed June 27th-July 4th. Hours 6:45 am-5:45 pm
