I feel that returning to Fruitport to teach and work for this community was my calling.  The heart and soul of the high school is built upon creating positive and influential student and staff relationships.  I take great pride in seeing former students and hearing their stories of success.

I love teaching and coaching baseball at Fruitport because it allows me to make an impact on students both in the classroom and on the field. I enjoy pushing them to think beyond just the end of the week and helping them understand that the habits and effort they build today will shape their future.

I am a proud Fruitport graduate who went on to earn my Bachelor’s degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, where I played baseball and studied Criminal Justice. Eighteen years later, I decided to pursue my teaching certification so I could give back and make a difference in students’ lives.

When I am not working or coaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, Jill and our 3 kids Reagan, Easton, and Emma at the lake fishing and swimming. I also enjoy exploring historical sites and watching sporting events, especially Detroit teams.
