I became an alumni of Fruitport Schools in 2010, and I am very excited to be back in the community! With this role, I want to provide our staff and students with the support they need to be successful. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with my Bachelors in Exercise Science. When I am not at work, I am with my family and friends! I currently have 2 boys and 2 dogs who all keep me very busy! A few things that I enjoy are camping, shopping, and animals! LETS GO BLUE!

I have always had a passion for learning and I personally understand the equalizing value of a good education.  After moving to Fruitport in 2001, I have embraced the community and am proud to call it home.  I truly believe our town and our schools are on the verge of greatness and will be a destination district in the years to come.

I came to Fruitport in 2014 after being a teacher and administrator for West Catholic High School for 9 years and the math consultant at Kent Intermediate School District for 4 years.  

I ran for the Fruitport School Board because I wanted to make sure our kids were thought of first in all decisions that needed to be made now and in the future.  I have found it to be one of the most rewarding experiences I have had. My most favorite part is seeing the work of our students whether it is on the field, on the stage, in an arena, or presenting before the school board. I take great pride in Fruitport and take every opportunity to promote our school system to others. 

As a Fruitport graduate and Baker College Muskegon alumna, I have turned my love for accounting into a career dedicated to supporting education. Outside of the office, I am a wife and mom of two girls, most often found enjoying family time or spending weekends at the soccer field.

I enjoy working with people that want to make Fruitport Community Schools, in all aspects, the absolute BEST it can be! I am very proud to have served on the Fruitport Board of Education in many capacities since 2001.

Being a Fruitport graduate, I've always had pride in being a Fruitport Trojan.  I enjoy serving my community and want to help ensure our kids have a safe, encouraging and nurturing setting to grow.   I believe Fruitport is one of the best districts around and I'm honored to be serving on its school board.

It is an honor to serve as the Superintendent of Fruitport Community Schools. What I love most about Fruitport is the strength of the relationships that make our district feel like a true community. Our schools are built on people—students who inspire us, staff who pour their hearts into their work, parents and families who partner with us, and community members who believe deeply in our schools.

I love being part of the Fruitport School community and have a real passion for education. It’s so rewarding to support students, staff, and families each day. When I’m not at work, you’ll likely find me with a good book or outside playing with my furbabies.

I have been working with computers in some form since high school.  Always interested in gadgets, technology, and how things work, it was natural for me to move into a career working with computers and the various electronic devices of today.

I am passionate about serving my community and am honored to do so on the Fruitport Board of
Education. As a strong advocate for public education, I am proud of our district’s ability to
facilitate rigorous educational experiences within a deeply nurturing environment. My goal is to
help ensure all children in our district receive an exceptional education and leave Fruitport
Community Schools prepared to be visionary citizens and life-long learners.

I chose to run for the Fruitport Board of Education because I have three children currently enrolled in Fruitport Schools, and I wanted the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the district they attend. Serving on the Board allows me to have a positive impact on our students, families, and the broader Fruitport community. I take great pride in representing the voices of our community and working to help ensure the continued success of our district.

I’m honored to serve as Fruitport’s Director of Technology, where I bring over 20 years of IT experience and a deep passion for the intersection of technology and education to support our students and staff every day.

Living and working in the Fruitport community makes being part of Fruitport Community Schools especially meaningful to me. I came to Fruitport in 2017 and am so grateful to be part of a district where I can support our staff and play a small role in helping our schools thrive. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my three boys play their many sports. I also love reading, shopping, and making the most of our time together as a family.

I knew that working with kids was where I was meant to be since I was a teen myself. As a Licensed Professional Counselor I get to help young people realize that their growth and development is in their hands. To empower them to make the best choices for them. I am passionate about supporting our next generation to make positive changes in their lives so that their next steps are the best steps.

Fruitport is the shining "castle" on the hill. I started attending Fruitport in 1967 as did my husband. We both graduated in 1981 and married in 1982. Both of our children also graduated from Fruitport and currently we have a granddaughter attending. I loved Fruitport so much that my dream job was teaching in our district. I was able to commit 30 fantastic years teaching at Edgewood and now am semi retired. Being a part of the School Board has become the icing on the cake. I knew I couldn't just walk away from this district that I love and treasure. I've always believed that Fruitport stands out because we maintain the small town feel while providing big town excellence. Besides being a board member, I enjoy other activities. For down time I love to play co-ed softball, water ski, hunt, fish, work on my most recent children's book, read and have even recently learned to knit and crochet. It's an honor to have been elected to our school board and I'm committed to continuing the good work of our district.

I am passionate about the education system, so much so, that when I began college I had intended to go into teaching.  I soon found that business/finance was a better fit for me and promptly changed majors.  I feel as though I have found the best of both worlds at Fruitport, as I am using the skills that I have in a supporting role in the public school system.
